"The Southeastern Browncoats work to better the lives of children through fandom and promoting Joss Whedon's critically-acclaimed and short-lived series, "Firefly" as well as the companion film "Serenity". We are dedicated to raising funds for our charities. SEBC is a non-profit corporation in the State of Georgia and a 501(c)3.
"We're just happy to be doing good works"
We are fans of "Firefly" and "Serenity" who believe that the energy and talents of our fandom can be channeled into giving back to the community. So we created Southeastern Browncoats, Inc. to support children's and other 501(c)3 charities.
Our two charities that we currently work to support are the Wooten Center, a favorite project of series star Ron Glass, and Children's Health Care of Atlanta. Some monies will be left to seed future SEBC projects.
